Submission
How do I submit a paper to ECRES 2027?
Submit your full paper or abstract through Microsoft CMT, prepared with the ECRES Word template. The ECRES 2027 submission link appears on the submission guide and the call for papers as soon as submissions open. The deadline is 15 March 2027.
Can I send my abstract or paper by e-mail instead of using CMT?
No. Papers and abstracts sent by e-mail are not reviewed — every submission goes through Microsoft CMT. If CMT shows an error, send a screenshot to ecres.conference@gmail.com or on WhatsApp and we will help you finish the submission in CMT.
I cannot log in to CMT or my submission fails. What should I do?
Use the e-mail address of your CMT account and reset your password on the CMT login page. If it still fails, send a screenshot of the error to ecres.conference@gmail.com or on WhatsApp and we will solve it with you. Please do not e-mail the paper instead.
Can I submit only an abstract, or do I need a full paper?
Both are possible. Submit a full paper of up to 6 pages or a one-page abstract, each in the ECRES Word template. Both are peer-reviewed; full papers appear in the paper part of the proceedings and abstracts in the abstract part. Choose the type when you submit.
I submitted an abstract. Can I replace it with the full paper later?
Only before the submission deadline, 15 March 2027: open your submission in CMT and replace the file. After the deadline an abstract cannot be turned into a full paper, so choose the type when you submit.
What is the page limit?
A full paper has at most 6 pages and an abstract 1 page, in the ECRES template. If your work is longer, shorten it for the conference: selected papers are later invited to submit an extended version to a partner journal.
Where can I download the paper template?
On the submission guide: Word templates for the full paper and the abstract. The ECRES 2027 templates will be published there; they keep the 2026 layout, so you can start writing in the 2026 file now.
Is there a LaTeX template?
No. The proceedings are produced in Word, so please use the ECRES Word template. If you write in LaTeX or Overleaf, move the final text into the Word template before you upload it.
What format and language should my paper follow?
Write in English with the ECRES Word template: a full paper of up to 6 pages or a one-page abstract, with the authors' names in full and a permanent e-mail address. Full papers end with a short Declarations section. Please add your ORCID iD to your CMT profile. Presentations are in English too.
Is my topic within the scope of ECRES?
ECRES covers renewable energy and energy systems — for example wind, solar and photovoltaics, solar concentrating, hydro, hydrogen and fuel cells, bio-mass and bio-diesel, combustion, smart grids, power electronics, electrical machines, energy harvesting, heating and cooling, energy efficiency, nuclear, energy materials, energy education and informatics. The 26 topics are on the call for papers. Unsure? Send your title and abstract to ecres.conference@gmail.com.
Are review (survey) papers accepted?
Yes. Review papers go through the same peer review as research papers and, if accepted and presented, are published in the ECRES proceedings.
Can I submit work that is already published or under review elsewhere?
No. Submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Extended versions of ECRES papers go to the partner journals after the conference.
Can I submit more than one paper?
Yes. Each paper is reviewed separately. If the same registered author presents several papers, each additional paper has an extra-paper fee (ECRES 2026: €300); the 2027 fee will be published on the registration page. If a co-author presents the other paper, that co-author registers separately.
CMT asks for a similarity (plagiarism) percentage. What should I enter?
Check your manuscript with a similarity tool you have access to (for example iThenticate or Turnitin) and enter the overall percentage you obtained. Science in Quality, the criteria ECRES 2027 papers are reviewed against, sets the limit at 20% overall and 5% from any single source, references excluded (gate G1).
What is Science in Quality?
Science in Quality is a set of quality criteria for scientific papers: seven integrity gates (originality, research ethics, data and image integrity, authorship, conflicts of interest and funding, generative AI, citations) and twenty criteria for scientific quality and presentation. ECRES 2027 papers are reviewed against these criteria. It is a quality framework, not an index or a publisher. See Science in Quality.
Does my paper need a Declarations section?
Yes. Every full paper for ECRES 2027 ends with a short Declarations section, just before the references, with five headings: author contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, data availability and use of generative AI. One or two sentences under each are usually enough, and a plain statement is fine where nothing applies, for example “The authors declare no conflict of interest.” See the Declarations section.
Where do the Declarations go if I use the 2026 template?
At the end of the full paper, after the conclusions and any acknowledgments, and before the references. The ECRES 2027 template will have the section; if you are writing with the 2026 template, add a heading Declarations with the five sub-headings yourself: author contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, use of generative AI. Abstracts (one page) do not need it.
Will my paper receive a Science in Quality level or badge?
No. The ECRES 2027 review uses the seven gates and the twenty criteria as its basis, and you receive the review decision by e-mail; ECRES 2027 does not award Science in Quality levels or badges. Your ECRES certificate for presenting is not affected.
Is ECRES peer-reviewed, and is acceptance guaranteed?
Every submission is peer-reviewed by the ECRES scientific committee, and acceptance is not guaranteed — no acceptance rate is promised. Papers are reviewed as they arrive, and you receive the decision through Microsoft CMT as soon as the review of your paper is complete. Details of the review (number of reviewers, blind or not) will be published in the submission guide.
The review comments I received do not seem to be about my paper. What should I do?
Write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with your Paper ID, and we will look into it.
My institution needs the review report. Can I get it?
Write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with your Paper ID after you receive the decision, and tell us what your institution needs.
My CMT status says 'Revision'. What does it mean?
Your file is not in the ECRES template or needs corrections. Reformat it in the ECRES Word template (or make the requested changes) and upload the new file to the same submission in CMT. Do not create a new submission.
How do I withdraw my paper?
Write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with your Paper ID and the reason. If you have not paid, the paper is removed from the programme and the proceedings; if you have paid, the refund policy applies.
How do I submit the final (camera-ready) version, and can I still correct my paper?
Upload the final .docx in the ECRES template to your existing CMT submission by the camera-ready deadline, which will be announced on the important dates page. You can correct your paper until then. The final file includes all authors' names and affiliations and a permanent e-mail address, within the page limit. Do not open a new submission or send the file by e-mail.
Can I organize a special session, and how do authors submit to it?
Yes, special session proposals for ECRES 2027 are welcome. Organizers gather at least five registered papers; write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with a title, a short scope and the organizers' names. Accepted special sessions are listed on the call for papers; authors choose the session when they submit in CMT.
Publication
Does Science in Quality mean that my paper or the proceedings are indexed?
No. Science in Quality is a set of quality criteria; it is not an index, and it does not change how the proceedings are published or whether a journal accepts an extended paper. The ECRES proceedings are published with an ISBN; they are not indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
Will my paper be published in the proceedings with an ISBN?
Yes. Accepted and presented papers are published in the ECRES 2027 Conference Proceedings with an ISBN (the 2027 ISBN will be announced). Full papers appear in the paper part, abstracts in the abstract part. A paper is published only after its registration fee is paid and it is presented by a registered author.
Are the ECRES proceedings indexed in Scopus or Web of Science?
No. The ECRES proceedings are published with an ISBN and are not indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. The indexed route is the journal one: extended versions of selected papers are invited to partner journals and considered under each journal's own peer review.
Do proceedings papers get a DOI?
The ECRES proceedings are published with an ISBN; no DOIs were registered for the 2025 and 2026 proceedings. Any change for 2027 will be announced on the publication page.
When and how will I receive the proceedings?
Online presenters receive the proceedings in electronic form by e-mail after the conference; in 2026, in-person participants received them with the conference materials. The ECRES 2027 release date will be announced on the publication page.
Where can I find the proceedings of past ECRES editions?
The publication page lists the ISBNs of past ECRES proceedings with the PDFs that are available, and each edition's website is linked from past editions.
How do I cite my ECRES paper?
Use: Author(s), "Paper title", in Proceedings of the 15th European Conference on Renewable Energy Systems (ECRES 2027), Madrid, Spain, 8–9 June 2027, pp. x–y, ISBN to be announced.
Who holds the copyright, and can I deposit my paper in my institution's repository?
The licence and self-archiving rules for the ECRES 2027 proceedings will be published on the publication page. If your library needs an answer now, write to ecres.conference@gmail.com.
How do I get a journal publication through ECRES?
Present your paper at ECRES. After the conference the scientific committee reviews the presented papers — presentation quality is one of the criteria — and extended versions of selected papers are invited to partner journals, where they are considered under each journal's own peer review. An invitation is not an acceptance, and journal publication is not guaranteed.
Which journals are partners of ECRES, and are they indexed?
The publication page lists the ECRES 2026 partner journals with each journal's verified index label and fee model; the 2027 list will be confirmed with the journals. Quartiles and impact factors are not shown. Special issues for ECRES 2027 will be announced there once the journals confirm them.
Do I have to pay a publication fee (APC) to the journal?
It depends on the journal. On the ECRES 2026 list, Computers and Informatics, Journal of Polytechnic and Transactions on Electromagnetic Spectrum charge authors nothing; JOM and Proc. IMechE Part A cost nothing on the subscription route; others charge an article processing charge (APC), for example MDPI's Energies and Processes. Each journal's fee model is on the publication page.
Can I choose the journal, or ask for a different one?
Journal recommendations are made by the scientific committee after the conference, based on the presented papers. Whether authors can state a preference or ask for reconsideration will be explained on the publication page; for a specific case, write to ecres.conference@gmail.com after the announcement.
When are the journal invitations announced?
Journal recommendations are e-mailed to the authors of selected papers after the conference. The ECRES 2027 announcement date will be published on the publication page.
How do I prepare and submit the extended version for the journal?
An extended version contains at least 40% new content compared with the conference paper. Submit it yourself through the journal's own submission system and mention ECRES 2027 (or the special issue named in your invitation). Each journal applies its own similarity check and peer review.
How long does journal publication take? Is there a fast track?
It depends on each journal's own review and production time, which ECRES does not control, and ECRES does not promise fast-track publication. If you need publication by a certain date (for example for an academic evaluation), tell us when you receive your journal invitation.
If my paper is not presented, is it still published?
No. At least one author registers and presents each paper, in Madrid or online. Papers that are not presented are not published in the proceedings and cannot be considered for the partner journals.
Is ECRES an IEEE conference, or published in IEEE Xplore?
No. ECRES is not an IEEE conference and its proceedings are not in IEEE Xplore. They are published with an ISBN, and extended versions of selected papers are invited to partner journals.
Does ECRES count for my funding, PhD or promotion requirements?
That depends on your funder's or university's rules, so please check them. For reference: the ECRES proceedings have an ISBN and are not indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, and journal versions are decided by the partner journals. We can provide the acceptance letter and the proforma invoice your institution may need.
Dates
When is the paper submission deadline?
Full papers and abstracts are due 15 March 2027 (submit in Microsoft CMT). Papers are reviewed as they arrive, so you receive your decision by e-mail as soon as your paper is reviewed. Pay by 1 April 2027 for the early-bird fee (€100 lower); the standard registration deadline is 15 May 2027. The conference is on 8–9 June 2027 in Madrid and online. All dates: important dates.
At what time and in which time zone does the deadline close?
The deadline is 15 March 2027. The exact closing time is shown in Microsoft CMT when submissions open — please do not wait for the last hour.
Will the deadline be extended?
Please plan for 15 March 2027. If a date changes, the change is published on the important dates page for everyone at the same time; individual extensions are not given by e-mail or WhatsApp.
The deadline has passed. Can I still submit?
Submissions are accepted only through Microsoft CMT while it is open; the important dates page always shows the current deadline. If CMT is closed, you are still welcome to attend as a listener.
When will I know if my paper is accepted?
There is no single notification date: papers are reviewed as they arrive, and you receive the decision by e-mail from Microsoft CMT as soon as your paper has been reviewed. The earlier you submit, the earlier you know — and the more time you have for the early-bird fee (until 1 April 2027) and, if you need one, your visa.
When is the camera-ready deadline?
The camera-ready date will be announced on the important dates page and e-mailed to accepted authors. Until then you can prepare your final file in the ECRES Word template.
What is the last date for registration and payment?
The standard registration deadline is 15 May 2027: register and pay by then. Pay by 1 April 2027 for the early-bird fee, €100 lower than the standard fee. The payment date is the day the payment reaches the organizing company, so start an international bank transfer early. Accepted papers are published only after the registration fee has been paid.
When is the deadline for the online presentation video?
There is a single video deadline for online presenters. It is sent with the video instructions after registration and will be listed on the important dates page.
Can I get a reminder before the deadline?
Yes. Leave your e-mail on the important dates page: we send you the paper template now and one reminder before 15 March 2027. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Registration & payment
How do I register after my paper is accepted?
After acceptance you receive the registration form by e-mail. Fill it in with your Paper ID, participant type and billing details; a proforma invoice follows by e-mail. Pay by card on the organizer's secure payment page, or by bank transfer or Wise with the proforma details. You then receive the payment confirmation and the official acceptance letter. At least one author registers for each paper.
How much is the registration fee?
ECRES 2027 standard fees in euros: €600 regular presentation in person, €550 student presentation in person, €400 online presentation, €400 listener and €300 for each additional paper. Pay by 1 April 2027 and every fee is €100 lower (early bird): €500, €450, €300, €300 and €200. The standard registration deadline is 15 May 2027. Details: registration page.
What does the registration fee include?
In person (as in 2026): all sessions on the in-person day, the conference materials (proceedings, programme booklet, bag and badge), the gala dinner and coffee breaks — the 2027 package will be confirmed once the venue is contracted. Online: an official participation certificate and the proceedings in electronic form, by e-mail after the conference.
Which participant type should I choose on the registration form?
Regular: you present your paper in person. Student: you present in person and hold a valid student ID. Online: you present online. Listener: you attend without a paper. Mark a second paper only if the same registered person presents another accepted paper. The proforma amount follows your choices — if it looks wrong, fill in the form again before you pay.
Is there a student fee? Do PhD students count as students?
Yes, there is a student rate for in-person presenters with a valid student ID: €550, or €450 when you pay by 1 April 2027 (early bird). The exact student definition will be published on the registration page.
Does every author have to register? Can my supervisor register and pay for me?
One author per paper has to register; co-authors register only if they also want to take part. Your supervisor or institution can register and pay on your behalf — tell us whose name and details should appear on the invoice.
Can I attend without presenting a paper?
Yes. Register as a Listener — you do not need to submit anything to CMT. The listener fee is €400, or €300 when you pay by 1 April 2027 (early bird). Listeners receive a certificate of attendance.
Can I attend if I am not at a university (industry or independent researcher)?
Yes. ECRES is open to participants from academic and non-academic backgrounds, and you do not need an institutional affiliation. Industry researchers can present papers or register as listeners.
Can someone accompany me, and what does it cost?
Yes, accompanying persons are welcome. The accompanying-person fee and what it covers will be published with the 2027 fees on the registration page. If your companion wants a certificate, they register as a listener.
Is there a discount, group rate, fee waiver or travel grant?
Yes, one: the early-bird fee is €100 lower for every registration and every additional paper when the payment reaches us by 1 April 2027. Any other reduced rate for 2027 will be published with the fees on the registration page. Your institution or funder can use our acceptance letter and proforma invoice to support you.
Can I have more time to pay? My institution's payment is slow.
Payment must reach us by the registration deadline, which will be announced on the important dates page. If your institution is processing the payment, send us its payment order with your Paper ID before the deadline.
I made a mistake in the registration form. What should I do?
If you have not paid yet, simply fill in the registration form again with the correct details — a new proforma invoice is generated within minutes. If you have already paid, do not register again: write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with your Paper ID and the correction.
I did not receive the registration form or my proforma invoice.
Check your spam or junk folder: system e-mails come from noreply@vinteight.com and our replies from ecres.conference@gmail.com — add both to your contacts. If you typed a different e-mail address in the form, fill it in again or write to us with your Paper ID.
How can I pay the registration fee?
By card on the organizer's secure payment page (3-D Secure), or by bank transfer or Wise using the details on your proforma invoice. Fees are in euros (EUR). Payments are collected by the organizing company, VintEight Conference Organization. PayPal is not among the payment methods.
My card payment fails. What can I do?
Most failures come from the card issuer. Enable online and international payments, check the card limit and approve the 3-D Secure request in your banking app — 'issuer did not respond' means your bank did not authorise it. Try another card or pay by bank transfer with your proforma. Still stuck? Send a screenshot on WhatsApp. Never send card details.
I have a card issued in Türkiye. Can I pay online?
Cards issued in Türkiye cannot be charged in a foreign currency on our payment page because of Turkish banking (BDDK) rules. Please pay by bank transfer in EUR, or in TRY at the day's exchange rate — we send you the TRY amount and how long it is valid.
How do I pay by bank transfer?
Use the bank details on your proforma invoice and transfer the amount in EUR. Write your Paper ID and "ECRES 2027" in the transfer description, choose the OUR charge option so that the full amount arrives, and e-mail the transfer receipt (SWIFT copy) to ecres.conference@gmail.com.
Bank charges reduced the amount you received. What should I do?
The full registration fee must reach us. If your bank or an intermediary bank deducted charges, the payment is incomplete and the missing amount has to be paid separately, by card or by a small transfer. To avoid this, choose the OUR option (the sender pays all charges).
I made a bank transfer but it has not arrived. What now?
International (SWIFT) transfers can take several business days. Send us the bank's SWIFT confirmation (MT103) or your receipt with your Paper ID so that our bank can trace it, and do not repeat the transfer. If the transfer comes back to you, we will send you another way to pay.
Why is the payment made to a company and bank in Türkiye? Is it legitimate?
ECRES is organized by VintEight Conference Organization (Ankara, Türkiye), which handles registration, collects the fees and issues the invoices. That is why the proforma, the bank account and your card statement show the organizing company's legal name in Türkiye, not "ECRES". If in doubt, write to ecres.conference@gmail.com before paying.
How do I know you received my payment? Should I pay again if I got no confirmation?
Do not pay again. Card payments trigger an automatic "Payment successfully received" e-mail from noreply@vinteight.com — check your spam folder. For bank transfers we confirm by e-mail after the money arrives and you send us the receipt. If nothing arrives within two weeks, write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with your Paper ID.
My university or company will pay. What do they need, and can the invoice show its name and VAT number?
Your institution can pay the proforma invoice by bank transfer. Enter its name, address and VAT or tax number in the billing fields of the registration form before you pay, so they appear on the proforma and the invoice. If it needs a supplier form, purchase order or signed document, send it to us early — institutional payments often take weeks.
Can I pay at the conference, in cash or by card?
Registration fees are paid on the payment page or by bank transfer before the registration deadline; papers without payment are not published in the proceedings. Any on-site payment option (for example for gala guests) will be announced with the 2027 registration details.
Can I send my card details by e-mail, chat or WhatsApp?
No — never. Pay only on the organizer's secure payment page linked from this website. ECRES never asks for card numbers or security codes by e-mail, chat or WhatsApp.
What is the proforma invoice? My institution can only pay against an invoice.
The proforma invoice is the payment request generated from your registration form: it shows the amount, the bank details and the payment reference, issued in your or your institution's name. Institutions normally pay against it. It is not the official tax invoice, which is issued after payment.
When will I receive the official invoice?
The official invoice is an e-invoice issued from Türkiye after payment. We first e-mail you a draft to check your details, then the official invoice. The 2027 timing will be stated on the registration page.
Why is the invoice in Turkish? Can I have it in English?
Turkish tax rules require the official e-invoice to be issued in Turkish. Your details are given in English in the "Fatura Açıklaması" (Explanation) box at the bottom left of the PDF.
I received a 'Draft invoice for your approval'. What should I do? Can it be split?
"TASLAKTIR" means draft. Check the amount, the billing address and the spelling of your name, and reply with your approval or corrections by the date in the e-mail. If you need the invoice split (for example two payers), ask before the official e-invoice is issued — afterwards it cannot be changed, cancelled or split.
My university needs a signed and stamped payment receipt.
After payment we can send a signed payment confirmation on request. If your institution needs specific wording, a stamp or its own form, send it to ecres.conference@gmail.com before you pay so that we can check it.
Can I get a refund if I cannot attend?
The 2027 refund and visa-refusal policy will be published on the registration page before registration opens. If your Schengen visa is refused, you can present online instead.
Can I switch from in-person to online presentation after registering?
Yes. Write to us with your Paper ID as soon as you know; your registration is changed to online presentation and you will send a presentation video. How the fee difference is handled will be stated in the 2027 refund policy on the registration page.
Can I change from online to in person, or from listener to presenter?
Yes. Fill in the registration form again with the new participant type, or ask us for an adjusted proforma, and pay the difference before the registration deadline.
Visa & travel
Do I need a visa to attend ECRES 2027 in Madrid?
Madrid is in the Schengen area. Unless you hold an EU or Schengen passport or residence permit, or your nationality is visa-exempt, you need a Schengen short-stay visa issued by Spain. Check with the Spanish consulate or visa centre that serves your country of residence as early as possible.
When should I apply for my Schengen visa?
As early as possible. Schengen applications can be lodged up to six months before travel, normally at least 15 days before; decisions take about 15 days and can take up to 45. Some visa centres accept applications only within 90 days of travel, so book your appointment as soon as your window opens. ECRES reviews papers as they arrive: submit early, and register as soon as you are accepted, because the official letter follows your payment.
Will I get a letter for my visa application?
Yes. After your registration fee is paid, we e-mail the official acceptance letter stating that your registration is complete — many consulates accept it as the conference (invitation) letter; check your consulate's checklist. Request it with the form on the visa page; if your consulate needs specific wording, tell us then.
Can I get a letter before I pay? My funder or university needs it first.
The acceptance e-mail from Microsoft CMT, sent as soon as your paper has been reviewed, confirms that your paper is accepted. The signed letter stating that your registration is complete follows your payment. If your funder needs a signed document before you pay, write to ecres.conference@gmail.com with your Paper ID and their requirements.
How soon after payment will I receive the letter?
The letter is e-mailed as a signed PDF from ecres.conference@gmail.com after your payment is confirmed. The 2027 turnaround time will be stated on the visa page.
What does the visa letter contain, and can it be corrected?
The letter gives your name, the Paper ID and title, the conference name and dates, the venue and its address once the venue is announced, and it is signed with contact details for the consulate. If something is wrong (name, date, title), reply to the e-mail with the correct details and we send a corrected letter.
Can my accompanying person get a letter for the visa?
Yes. When the accompanying-person fee is paid, we issue a letter that names your companion and refers to your participation. The 2027 accompanying-person fee will be published on the registration page.
The consulate asks for proof of payment, a hotel booking or travel insurance. Can you help?
Your acceptance letter states that your registration is complete; on request we can also send a signed confirmation of your registration and payment. Hotel booking and travel medical insurance are your own responsibility — accommodation information will be published on the venue page.
I apply for my visa in Algeria. What should I know?
Spain's visa centres in Algeria accept applications only from travellers departing within the next 90 days — from about 10 March 2027 for a trip on 8 June. Their checklist for scientific visits asks for an invitation from a Spanish host institution. ECRES cannot provide one yet: if your visa centre requires it, write to us before you pay.
What happens if my visa is refused or arrives too late?
If your Schengen visa is refused, you can present your paper online instead — send us the refusal letter by e-mail. If it is late, tell us as soon as you know. Visa decisions are made by the consulate, not by ECRES. The full 2027 refund and visa policy will be published on the registration page.
Where exactly will ECRES 2027 take place?
In Madrid, Spain, on 8–9 June 2027, together with ICMECE 2027 (9–10 June). The venue will be announced on the venue page with its address, a map and directions. Online participants join the online sessions.
Do you recommend hotels or offer a conference rate?
Accommodation information, and any hotel rates agreed for participants, will be published on the venue page together with the venue. June is a busy month in Madrid — we recommend booking a refundable room early.
A company offered to book my hotel for ECRES. Is it official?
ECRES has no hotel booking agent unless one is announced on this website. Do not pay a third party that contacts you about ECRES accommodation; check the venue page or ask us on WhatsApp. Official channels: ecres.conference@gmail.com, info@vinteight.com, Microsoft CMT and WhatsApp +90 542 350 43 68.
How do I get to Madrid and to the venue from the airport?
Fly to Madrid-Barajas (MAD). The city centre is reached by metro (line 8), commuter train (Cercanías) from Terminal 4, the airport express bus or taxi. Directions to the venue will be added when the venue is announced.
Presentation & programme
Can I present online, in person or as a poster?
Yes — ECRES 2027 is hybrid. Present in person in Madrid or online; in person you can also present a poster (A1). You choose in person or online on the registration form. Which sessions are in person and which online is published with the programme.
Which day is in person? When do I need to be in Madrid?
ECRES 2027 runs on 8–9 June 2027. The day-by-day format — which sessions are in person and which online — is published with the programme. The gala dinner shared with ICMECE 2027 is on the evening of Wednesday 9 June. Please wait for the programme before booking non-refundable travel.
How long is my talk, and what about the slides?
The length of oral presentations will be published with the programme. Prepare English slides — there is no published slide template — and bring them on a USB stick, with your laptop as a backup. You do not upload slides for in-person presentations.
Can I present a poster? What size should it be?
Yes. Posters are printed in A1 (594 × 841 mm). If you want to switch between oral and poster presentation, tell us before the programme is published.
How does online presentation work?
Online presenters present in the online sessions of the programme; the meeting links are e-mailed to registered authors. A presentation video is requested before the conference — the instructions and the single video deadline are sent after registration. Session times are in Madrid time (CEST, UTC+2); please join 15 minutes early.
What format and length should my presentation video have?
The video instructions — length, file format and how to send it — are e-mailed to online presenters after registration, together with the single video deadline.
Where do I get the Zoom link for the online session?
The meeting links are e-mailed to registered online presenters before the online sessions. If you have not received yours the day before, check your spam folder and then message us on WhatsApp with your Paper ID.
When will the programme be published?
The ECRES 2027 programme, with every session time, is published on the programme page and e-mailed to registered authors before the conference. Its publication date will be announced on the important dates page.
Can my session time or presenter name be changed?
Presenter name corrections are always possible — write to us with your Paper ID. Requests to change the session time can be considered only before the programme is published.
Can online participants follow the in-person sessions?
How online participants can follow the in-person day will be published with the programme. Online presentations take place in the online sessions, whose meeting links are e-mailed to registered authors.
When is the gala dinner, and is it included?
The gala dinner is on the evening of Wednesday 9 June 2027 in Madrid, shared by ECRES 2027 and ICMECE 2027 participants. In 2026 it was part of in-person registration; the 2027 details (time, place, who it includes) follow with the venue.
Can I bring a guest to the gala dinner?
Guests are welcome. The gala guest or accompanying-person fee will be published with the 2027 registration details; tell us in advance so that we can reserve seats.
Certificates
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Presenters receive an official participation certificate by e-mail after the conference — for in-person and online presentations. For a question about the certificate for a specific paper, ask on WhatsApp.
Does each author get a certificate, or one per paper?
The ECRES 2027 certificate rule — one per paper or one per registered author, and whose names appear — will be published on the programme page. Until then, ask us with your Paper ID.
When and how will I receive my certificate?
Certificates are e-mailed after the conference as PDFs from ecres.conference@gmail.com. The exact 2027 timing will be published on the programme page.
I have not received my certificate. What should I do?
First check your spam folder for a message from ecres.conference@gmail.com titled "Certificate of Participation". If it is not there, write to us with your Paper ID and we will send it again.
Do listeners receive a certificate?
Yes. Listeners receive a certificate of attendance.
Are there best paper or best presentation awards?
Best paper awards were presented at ECRES 2026. The ECRES 2027 awards and their conditions will be announced on the programme page.
Conference
When and where is ECRES 2027?
ECRES 2027 — the 15th European Conference on Renewable Energy Systems — takes place on 8–9 June 2027 (Tuesday–Wednesday) in Madrid, Spain, in person and online. It is held together with ICMECE 2027 (9–10 June); the two conferences share Wednesday 9 June, including the gala dinner.
What is ICMECE 2027, and can I attend its sessions?
ICMECE 2027 is the 7th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering, on 9–10 June 2027 in Madrid. ECRES and ICMECE share Wednesday 9 June, including the gala dinner. Mechanical-engineering papers go to ICMECE; renewable-energy papers to ECRES. Whether ECRES participants can join ICMECE sessions will be confirmed with the programme.
In which time zone are the session times?
All ECRES 2027 times are Madrid time (CEST, UTC+2). Our organizing office is in Türkiye (GMT+3), one hour ahead of Madrid in June.
How long has ECRES been running?
ECRES began in 2012 (as EWRES) and ECRES 2027 is the 15th edition, after fourteen editions in six countries and online. The 2019 edition at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid brought together 135 participants from 38 countries. See past editions.
Who organizes ECRES, and is it a legitimate conference?
ECRES was founded by its chairman, Prof. Dr. Erol Kurt (Gazi University), and is organized by VintEight Conference Organization (Ankara, Türkiye). It has met since 2012; every submission is peer-reviewed and the proceedings carry an ISBN. Official channels: ecres.conference@gmail.com, info@vinteight.com, Microsoft CMT and WhatsApp +90 542 350 43 68.
Who is on the ECRES 2027 committees?
The ECRES 2027 committees will be published on the committees page. The ECRES 2026 committees are shown there for reference: 110 researchers from 42 countries served on the 2026 international committees.
Who are the keynote speakers?
The ECRES 2027 keynote speakers will be announced on the speakers page, which also lists the keynotes of the last four editions.
Can I be a keynote or invited speaker?
Keynote speakers are invited by the organizing committee. To present your own research, submit an abstract or a full paper through Microsoft CMT.
How can I become a reviewer or join the program committee?
The scientific committee is formed by invitation, based on active research in renewable energy systems. If you publish in this field and want to review, send a short CV with your ORCID profile to ecres.conference@gmail.com; you will be contacted if reviewers are needed in your area.
Contact
How can I reach a person?
Message the organizing office on WhatsApp +90 542 350 43 68 — the quickest way — or e-mail ecres.conference@gmail.com. For anything about your own paper or payment, include your Paper ID. Messages reach our office in Türkiye (GMT+3).
How do I know an e-mail or message really comes from ECRES?
Official ECRES e-mails come from ecres.conference@gmail.com, info@vinteight.com, Microsoft CMT (noreply@msr-cmt.org) — for example review notices and video reminders — our registration system noreply@vinteight.com and, for calls for papers, the conference chair's address ekurt@gazi.edu.tr; on WhatsApp only from +90 542 350 43 68. You pay only on the organizer's payment page linked from this website. Add these addresses to your contacts: several authors found our e-mails in spam.
Can I write to you in French, Spanish or Turkish?
Yes. The assistant understands questions in many languages: answers from the website's FAQ are in English, and questions the FAQ cannot answer — including questions in other languages — are answered by an AI model (Claude) in your language, from this website's information. Letters and certificates are issued in English. Whether the secretariat can reply in your language will be stated on the contact page.
What happens to the questions I type here?
The assistant first answers from this website's FAQ in your browser; those questions are not sent anywhere. When the FAQ has no clear answer, your question (and the last two questions and answers of this chat) goes to our server and from there to Anthropic, whose AI model Claude writes the answer from this website's information. We keep the question and the answer with e-mail addresses and phone numbers masked, without your name or IP address — please don't include your name or Paper ID. See the privacy notice.
How do I stop receiving ECRES e-mails?
Write to ecres.conference@gmail.com from the address you want removed and ask to unsubscribe. Deadline reminders requested on this website can also be cancelled at any time.
Am I talking to a person or a bot?
I am an automated assistant, not a person. I answer from this website's FAQ; when it has no clear answer, an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) writes the answer from this website's information, marked "AI". For anything about your own paper, payment or documents, tap Ask a person on WhatsApp below — your question is already filled in — or e-mail ecres.conference@gmail.com.

Where can I follow ECRES news and see photos?
Follow ECRES on Instagram (@ecres_conference) and LinkedIn, and watch the ECRES 2025 video on YouTube — all linked from the gallery, together with photos from past editions.
